Description
The data in this dataset were provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of Population Health, Epidemiology and Surveillance Branch. This is one of the datasets provided by the National Cardiovascular Disease Surveillance System. The system is designed to integrate multiple indicators from many data sources to provide a comprehensive picture of the public health burden of Cerebro-Vascular Disease (CVDs) and associated risk factors in the United States. The data are organized by location (national and state) and indicator.
Indicators from this data source have been computed by personnel in CDC’s Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (DHDSP). Indicators fall into two main categories: Cardiovascular Diseases and Risk Factors. Each category has subcategories, and indicators are organized under the subcategories.
Priority Indicators are associated with priority areas, including ABCS, AHA 2020 Goals: Cardiovascular Health Metrics, Healthy People 2020, and Million Hearts. A priority indicator in this dataset is associated with one or more of the following priority areas:
Healthy People 2020
